The built-in video editor is a feature within the Video Studio that allows you to edit and manage your video content efficiently.

Here's how to get started:

1. Go to “Video studio”, choose the testimonial you want to work with, and press the “View” button.

2. Click the “Edit video” button to open the video editor.

3. After entering the editing mode, you will see various customization options at your disposal to tailor your video to your desired preferences.

These options allow you to customize the video format, add branding, and much more.

  1. Video preview: In the central part of the screen, you will see the video preview. This is the main viewing area where you can play back the edits you make in real time.

  2. Editing options overview:

    • Format: Customize the video format to suit your needs, whether it's for social media, a presentation, or any other platform.

    • Branding: Add logos, watermarks, or any other brand-related imagery to your video to ensure brand consistency across your content.

    • Transitions: Choose from a variety of transition effects to smoothly move between scenes or segments within your video.

    • Subtitles: Enhance accessibility and comprehension by adding subtitles. You can either upload a subtitle file or create new subtitles within the editor.

    • Thumbnail: Select or upload a compelling thumbnail that will represent your video when it's not being played. The thumbnail is crucial as it's often the first impression viewers will have of your video content.

4. Adjust video format.

  • Select video format: On the right panel, click on the “Format” option. This will allow you to choose the orientation of your video: Landscape, Portrait, or Squared.

  • Set aspect ratio: Under the “Ratio” section, select the aspect ratio that best fits where you intend to publish the video, like 9:16 for stories or 4:5 for a post feed.

  • Choose video cropping: Decide how you want your video to fit within the selected frame. You can choose “Fill Entire Frame” to remove any black bars or “Shrink To Fit” to ensure the entire video is visible.

5. Add branding.

  1. Open branding options: Click on “Branding” to access options for adding your brand elements to the video.

  2. Toggle logo display: Use the switch to turn “Show logo in video” on or off.

  3. Position and size: Select where you want the logo to appear on the video and choose an appropriate size (Small, Medium, Large).

  4. Customize brand colors: Set your brand colors for consistent visual identity across all videos.

6. Enhance the video with transitions.

  1. Access transition settings: Select “Transitions” to add visual effects that occur between clips or scenes.

  2. Choose transition type: Pick from options like Fade, Wipe, or others that match your video's style.

  3. Set transition speed: Adjust the slider to control how quickly the transition happens, making it faster or slower as needed.

7. Add subtitles. Press the “Create subtitles” button to start transcribing your video text.

Check the detailed guide on Subtitles here.

8. Click on “Thumbnail” to determine how your video will be previewed before playing.

You have the option to upload a custom image or select a frame from your video to use as a thumbnail.

9. Switch to the “Edit scenes” tab to view all the individual clips that make up your video.

10. To change the order of your scenes, click and drag a scene to its new position. This will automatically adjust the sequence of your video.

11. To insert a new video clip, click on the “+ New Scene” button, then select “Video scene”.

You can upload new media or choose from your existing library.

12. Similarly, to add a still image as a scene, select “Image scene” after clicking “+ New Scene”.

You can upload a new image or select one from the library.

13. For adding text overlays or title cards, choose “Text scene”.

Enter your desired text and set the duration the text will be displayed.

14. Click a scene and choose “Edit” to modify its content. This can include trimming video clips or adjusting the text in a text scene.

15. Turn on “Show captions” and add some text (full name, position, etc.) that will appear in the beginning of the scene.

16. Use the trimming tool to adjust the start and end points of your video clip.

Drag the handles at the edges of the timeline to set the new in and out points.

17. After adding and editing all the necessary scenes:

  1. Review your work: Play back the entire video to check for flow and consistency.

  2. Render the video: When everything looks perfect, click 'Create video' to render your final product.

With your scenes edited and arranged to your liking, your video is now ready to be shared with your audience.

Whether it’s for a website, social media, a marketing campaign, or internal communications, the video editor empowers you to tell your story effectively1
